Grand Opening of GuRLyWood

On Friday, September 1st, 2006 it's time to open the floodgates to GuRLyWood ! I will be DJing the opening live at 6 PM SLT, we will open the GuRLyWood to the public at midnight already, so it won't get too busy all at once :)

New stuff

Yep...after about half a year or something I finally was sooooo looking for something new to do, that I decided to make a few cute bekinis. Not that there was an inner voice telling me so. Probably cause I want to see Six in some hot stuff at our lil beach area :) They will be released with the grand opening of GuRLyWood . Price will be 99L$ per set. Each bikini has several layers, for all those of you who have tattos and stuff :) - in addition they'll come in different motives...so, you can go out all dirty, if not slutty, or be all nice, cute and (almost) pure :) Posting a preview of it here...was really a fun thing to do this. Yesterday I chilled and played more than anything LOL Was driving around cruising on the streets of GuRLyWood and did little races with Six, Feri and Chantal. I occasionally hit Chantal with the Dominus Shadow...cause SHE DIDNT REZ! DOH! (ok, I could have slowed down when I saw these dots on the minimap...) .... :)

Lazy Sunshine Day

Today is just a lazy sunshiny day at GuRLyWood. Took some pictures for the Grand Opening Flyer. I guess we're looking at Sept.1st, 2006...6PM SLT at the moment. Makes sense :) That's just 3AM CET, so wonderful. Who needs sleep :)
I will be DJing and streaming live during the opening...after a looooooooong time of abstinence from public DJing in SL. Will attach a few of the shots we made today at the GuRLyWood beach and the current flyer design. Thanks for your attention :)

Land Swoopers in SL PWND!

Today, I tried a little experiment. What's all this fuzz about "land swoopers" in Second Life? After the latest outry on the SL Forums, I got curious about these "folks".
So, I tested what was described in this post. I tried to sell my parcel to myself, for 1L$. Accidently forgetting to set it to sell to only myself...JUST SECONDS after I did that, Jimbo Spinnaker appeared at the scene. I reset the price immediately upon seeing an avatar shape form (in transit/TP), cause this is kind of strange. Who are these guys? How did they get here so fast? Answer: They exchanged their comfortable camping chairs right in-front of their favorite trailer park with clicking the Seach button in the Land Sales directory over and over and over and over again...for hours and hours. MANNN That's gotta be boring. But I have no other explanation for this... Either that, or they were just LUCKY to find a parcel for sale for 1L$....So, happy, that they decided to bring all their friends - obviously wearing the same group tag, "SL Estates Agents". Priceless! One even brought all his toys for tots! I was impressed. The dialog that followed was also very amusing. The "CEO" of "SL Estates Agents" threatened me, that I would get a 3 day suspension for this and that "well see what philip linden thinks".
It's due time that something is being done about this blatant form of theft in SL. If I was indeed a new resident in SL, this could very well have been my first, most costly and last mistake, before I cancelled the account out of frustration. I'd like to dedicate this entry to all the victims of these land-swooper-pooper-wannabe-mafia-gangsta...mommiedoyouhavecookiesformetoday-thugs!?!

New Radio/Jingle Productions out!

Careless Heart of Radio 57 ordered 2 Commercials/Jingles for his webstation, that targets club audience inside Second Life. Production was finished today and I'm of course happy to share the outcome with you guys :)

My new shop at GuRLyWood!

Okayyyy...more news from GuRLyWood! I finally installed my new shop at our new sim and at 300m altitude, connected via a wonderful cozy teleporter seat, the Deluxe Space Station XXL size demo version of my Space Station prefab.



All will be accessible at Sept. 1st, 2006 at GuRLyWood. YAY!

Cleaning Up GuRLyWood!

YAY! We're doing the final fixes on GuRLyWood at the moment. Just a few minor changes and bug fixes here and there, but the general setting is made. :)
Six' new store will be gigantic, mine will be a little bit smaller. There will be a newbie center as well with a few info boxes covering the most popular FAQ of noobs in SL. Currently working on that project [...if you wish to donate something, always welcome :)] .
Thanks muchly to Kismet Muromachi and MaryJayne Hornpipe (MJ Silly) for assisting with the GIGANTIC GuRL 6 SUPERMEGAHALLELUJATHISISBIGHOLYSHIT(!!!!)SuperSTORE! They did a fabulous job building Six' Dreamshop.
Also in GuRLyWood, my good old space station display, as it's still my most popular prefab. :) Adding a new prefab to my collection soon. Stay tuned! :)

Building GuRLyWood

Yes, finally we made it. Six and I got our own private island in the realm of Second Life. We call it GuRLyWood, since it will be the home of our brand GuRL6, a fully virtual company within Second Life. It's not as easy as I thought to get the concept down...first step...terraforming...We don't intend to make this place look like a 100% Hollywood replica...as the name already implies: it's just a phantasy world, very girl oriented, fun and of course pink...which will work best for the hair design, accessoires and clothing store that we have. The key points right now are a beach, of course a hill with a GuRLyWood sign on top and several urban style backdrops...
The plan right now looks like we're only going to have a few selected vendors display a few of their top products at our Island, the main focus will be GuRL6 - The SuperStore or SuperDuperWarehouse ( we have no working title for it yet, we refer to it as the STORE!).
I will upload a picture of our progress since Wednesday, Aug. 10th (the day we got the Sim). Right now I'm working on a few road textures, and as almost everything in Second Life, it's not as simple as it seems :) All my roads at GuRLyWood are hand made textures I patched together from several asphalt layers in Photoshop. Our timeframe as of now looks like we're going to open GuRLyWood by September 1st. Wish us luck :)
